We all have those days. “I just cannot get motivated” or “I have no motivation” or “Why should I bother? No one cares.” It is easy to wake up in the morning, stay in your pajamas and just hide from the world. But you cannot hide from yourself. None of us can. Even when we read or see something that… Read More
Discovering Me! Discovering You!
In this category, I think it is important for you to know something about me such as who I am, what has been my journey and how I made the decision to start this blog. I want to share the journey I have traveled so far and how I came to be the me that I know and love today. I find it extremely exciting and invigorating to meet other women and learn their stories. This section will share the stories of our lives – not just mine. It is not that I think my life’s story has been so different than millions of other women out there but it may be just different enough that someone will read it and find comfort or inspiration in the “sameness” or just see it as inspiration to look at your own journey and how you became the wonderful you that you are today. I hope that other women want to share their stories as well.
Each day is a new opportunity to learn something new. It can be a new word, a new recipe, a new language – every day in every way we are learning. Maybe we are coping with the loss of a job or a loved one, dealing with a serious illness, helping our children or something that impacts the way our lives used to be and is now forcing us to learn to make the most of our lives as they are in our new reality. Maybe we have entered a new phase of life like retirement, parenthood, returning to school to pursue another degree, taking a dance class or swim lessons. Every day in every way we can learn and embrace something new. Together we can keep learning!
We All Have Our “Pasta”
Yesterday I spent the better part of the day making pasta. Why bother, you may ask? Many would say that there is plenty of great pasta in the grocery store – freshly made and dried. Why bother? It is a lot of work to prepare a meal for two people but to me it is not a bother but a… Read More
Yes, There Are Enough Hours In The Day
How many times have we said there are not enough hours in the day? Think about it. There are 60 seconds in every minute. Sixty minutes in every hour. Twenty-four hours in every day. Seven day in every week and fifty-two weeks in every year. Hour after hour, day after day, week after week and year after year the cycle… Read More

Celebrate The Little Things Each And Every Day
Viola Davis said, “Every little thing in my life is to be celebrated.” Life should not be measured only by our greatest achievements, the size of our bank accounts, the number of likes, the size of our house. It should be the sum of everything that has led to our reaching those accomplishments and becoming our best selves. Sometimes we… Read More
What’s In A Number?
We pay too much attention to numbers. In fact, we often let numbers describe and define us. You are a senior, millennial, middle-aged, too old, too young. You weigh too much, too little, too fat, too skinny. Your wealth is determined by the amount your bank account rather than the richness of your life. As women we are described by… Read More
