Discovering Me! Discovering You!
In this category, I think it is important for you to know something about me such as who I am, what has been my journey and how I made the decision to start this blog. I want to share the journey I have traveled so far and how I came to be the me that I know and love today. I find it extremely exciting and invigorating to meet other women and learn their stories. This section will share the stories of our lives – not just mine. It is not that I think my life’s story has been so different than millions of other women out there but it may be just different enough that someone will read it and find comfort or inspiration in the “sameness” or just see it as inspiration to look at your own journey and how you became the wonderful you that you are today. I hope that other women want to share their stories as well.
Each day is a new opportunity to learn something new. It can be a new word, a new recipe, a new language – every day in every way we are learning. Maybe we are coping with the loss of a job or a loved one, dealing with a serious illness, helping our children or something that impacts the way our lives used to be and is now forcing us to learn to make the most of our lives as they are in our new reality. Maybe we have entered a new phase of life like retirement, parenthood, returning to school to pursue another degree, taking a dance class or swim lessons. Every day in every way we can learn and embrace something new. Together we can keep learning!

It is nonetheless difficult because the days seem to meld into each other and soon a new routine has… Read More
Have you ever seen a photograph or work of art that was able to evoke so many feelings that you were mesmerized and overwhelmed at the same time? This piece did it for me. Several years ago my husband and I were wandering through the small hill town of Mijas on the Costa del Sol in southern Spain. This image… Read More
The thing about butterflies is they make you smile. I have seen a lot of butterflies lately. In a movie the other night, one of the characters was in the jungle in South America and when he stepped into a small clearing and was immediately surrounded by a cloud of beautiful butterflies dancing around his body. I was looking through… Read More
No matter how sophisticated they become robots (like my new friend in the mural here, Bob) are merely machines designed to act like living things. Whether it is a robotic animal or human, its success is defined by how well it can perform the things that living beings do. No matter how hard they try to make it work, a… Read More
It has been a weird two weeks or so for me, so I have not been as diligent about my posting – something I plan to correct immediately. Like many people, life has been not been normal or easy. I decided to follow my own advice and gave myself time to be anxious, introspective, and even sad. The anxiousness was… Read More
