We all need that special place that only we know about where we can go and find ourselves when everything seems out of our control – and we all know that these are the times that make us feel that way. Discovering Me! Discovering You!
In this category, I think it is important for you to know something about me such as who I am, what has been my journey and how I made the decision to start this blog. I want to share the journey I have traveled so far and how I came to be the me that I know and love today. I find it extremely exciting and invigorating to meet other women and learn their stories. This section will share the stories of our lives – not just mine. It is not that I think my life’s story has been so different than millions of other women out there but it may be just different enough that someone will read it and find comfort or inspiration in the “sameness” or just see it as inspiration to look at your own journey and how you became the wonderful you that you are today. I hope that other women want to share their stories as well.
Each day is a new opportunity to learn something new. It can be a new word, a new recipe, a new language – every day in every way we are learning. Maybe we are coping with the loss of a job or a loved one, dealing with a serious illness, helping our children or something that impacts the way our lives used to be and is now forcing us to learn to make the most of our lives as they are in our new reality. Maybe we have entered a new phase of life like retirement, parenthood, returning to school to pursue another degree, taking a dance class or swim lessons. Every day in every way we can learn and embrace something new. Together we can keep learning!

Some days that light may shine brighter than others but it is there and we get to choose how to… Read More
We all instantly recognize Robert de Niro’s famous line from the movie Taxi Driver “You talking to me? You talking to me?” It is a line that when spoken the way he said it makes you want to back away with your hands up in surrender. These days that is how you feel sometimes just walking down the street. My… Read More
Maya Angelou said “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” I agree. The next step is to not walk but “JUMP” into your best self. Here are a few things you can do. Be “Judicious” in all that you do using sound judgment and good sense. Be “Ultra” by reaching for… Read More
I am so grateful to be celebrating my 69th birthday. When you consider family, friends, people you know and those you do not who have died, there is a lot that each of us who are here celebrating birthdays have to be grateful for each day. As I have done in the past, on my birthday I like to celebrate… Read More
