BIOGRAPHY

I began my journey in her career in 1972 as a buyer at the University of Maryland at Baltimore Campus.  After moving to the University of Maryland Baltimore County campus, I assumed the position of Director of Procurement and later, after completing a law degree at the University of Maryland School of Law, I assumed the role of University Counsel and Assistant Vice President for Administrative Services.    In 2008, I retired from the University and became Senior Counsel for Constellation Energy Corporation which later merged with Exelon Corporation, a multi-billion dollar energy corporation, where I became an Assistant General Counsel for Exelon Business Services, LLC.

I have a B.S. in Theatre and Dance, B.A. in Business Administration and a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law.  I am a member of the Maryland and Baltimore City Bar Associations.  I retired at the end of 2014 and now spends my time following her passions including volunteering, mentoring, traveling, writing, working out, dancing and working on my blog “60ish Love the Journey” (https://www.60ishlovingjourney.com/) where you can find more information on her amazing journey.  You can continue to read more about me on this site.

“Clolita Vitale is one of the most inspiring people I know. She has four decades of professional experience, including serving first as a senior administrator at a university, and then as senior counsel at a multi-billion dollar corporation. Even more important, she believes in living life to the fullest by constantly learning new things and taking on new challenges, from martial arts to foreign languages to world traveling. People who listen to Clolita are always motivated to become their best!”

Freeman A. Hrabowski, President, University of Maryland Baltimore County

“Clolita Vitale speaks from the heart, and she speaks very powerfully about her experiences in the corporate and academic worlds. Clolita also utilizes storytelling to convey the perspective of an African-American woman who has overcome much in her life to become a respected attorney and leader . . . Clolita delivers a moving and inspiring message for diverse audiences, and she captivates groups from 5 to 500. I provide my highest recommendation to this wonderful speaker!”
