I cracked myself up today! Honestly! I was laughing at myself and it was such a good laugh that I almost came to tears. Have you had a good laugh today? Have you laughed at yourself today? I walked into a door frame as I exited my home office and reacted by saying “bad door!” Maybe you had to be there, but I thought it was hysterical or maybe I was hysterical for a brief moment but whatever the reason – it felt so good to laugh.
Lots has been written about the positive effects of laughter on both our physical and mental wellbeing. Yet, they were smiling and laughing with each other and with us. We saw people who were able to laugh at themselves and with each other and take pleasure in the simplest things around them despite the seemingly overwhelming challenges facing their very existence every day.
After a good laugh, especially one that is unexpected, you feel that a weight has been lifted. I mean, how bad can it be that laugher will not brighten your day and that of those around you? Here let me help. Did you hear the one about the chicken and the road?
